Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas... 2010! It was so fun to go back to Utah again and see friends and fam. I left on December 21st and Jeff joined us on the 23rd. I was able to stay and have fun for about 3 weeks and Jeff stayed for a week. It was so nice to celebrate Christmas with the lights, snow, cold, hot chocolate, fireplace, mountains and cafe rio :). ha ha well you know what i mean.
This year we were able to mix the families again on Christmas Eve and it was great! We did the traditional fondue dinner.. yummy. We had Jeff's fam- (but we sure missed Rob and Chels and fam!) and my family (and we also missed B&B!). Then we slept at my mom's and celebrated Christmas morning there and then back over the Woods.
Izzy's First Christmas! Wow it was so fun to have her with us this Christmas.
here she is in her beautiful christmas dress :)

Here we all are at Liz's! Ready to open our poppers before the wonderful fondue eats

christmas morning!!!
You think that we would have her in a xmas cute little pj outfit... but the truth is we couldn't really find it and we just loved this puma one so we put her in that. :)

We had a great time staying at Liz's and my mom's while in town. Always nice to get help from the wonderful Grandmas!

This was the annual Johnson/Hale/Larson/Kimball party at the Kimball home
Here is me and my great friend Kristina and her new little one Beckham! he is darling. Him and Iz will be married one day.

So I really just took pics of Iz while in town ;) poor little girl got sick while in town. Everyone gets sick in Utah.. bummer. Her little cold turned into an ear infection... but she is all better now. I was going to pull my hair out though b/c she was up literally every hour for about 2 weeks. my mom and I were trying everything! Humidifiers, vaporizers, heaters, tipping her up at night, swinging her in her carseat, you name it. when I found out she had an ear infection... I felt so bad! then I told her she could get up as much as she wanted :). i look up to all you other moms with sick kids- an ear infection is nothing compared to other things! cheer to you.
wow doesn't she look like Jeff? darling little one.

Having fun with Nana, Grandma Liz and Mema Laurie

These were her sick days but she still is so cute! Grandmas were so helpful!! izzy loved being around everyone.
cute Aunt Judy made her this darling beanie

Aunt Jen, Grandmpa Patti and Aunt Judy
We had a great time watching movies every night, going to movies, dinners, lunches with friends, xmas parties, and family get togethers. Thank you family for such an amazing Christmas!
I had a great time staying the last couple of weeks. My mom just had knee surgery and we would be able to just lounge in the day and rent movies at night. I was able to get take out from all of my favorite Utah restaurants! I got together with my high school friends so many times and their cute kids and I loved it! I wish I could do playgroups with you guys all of the time. It just makes me miss you more :). can't wait for all of your new babies to come...

miss everyone already!

Connecticut and New York Trip

I am REALLY late with this! It so hard to post when you know you have so much to catch up on. So here goes!
In December I went to CONNECTICUT AND NEW YORK!! so freaking fun. Izzy and I had such a great time.
We left on a Wednesday and came back on a Tuesday.
Let me just tell you my experience with the airport getting there.. you will all be jealous...
So my flight was scheduled to leave at 12:00 p.m. So i get there at like 10:00 (with a a baby and Miami Airport you just never know). at about 11:00 a.m. they let us know that because of the weather in NYC the flight was going to be delayed for now, until further notice. So they said to just stick around and they'll let us know the time.
A couple hours later, they tell us 2:00 p.m. Then they say 2:30... then they say 3:00. And I was fine so far because luckily Izzy does really well with traveling.. she just entertains herself and is happy.
But by 3:00, she had only had about a 45 min nap in her car seat and was getting a little antsy. By 3:00 they came on and said that it was delayed until 6:00. Are you kidding me. The guy saw that I had a baby and said that I would be fine to leave and then come back. I had already been there for 5 hours! So I changed her diaper in the airport restroom for like the 10th time and called Jeff.
He was soo nice and came and got me and Iz just so that we could have a break from the wonderful airport.
We got to go home for a bit, get some lunch and let Izzy lay down in her crib.
Then I thought, well I will just check the flight status b/c I would hate to go back and have it be delayed again. I go on and it says that it's leaving at 5:15!!! what?! It was 4:15! I grabbed my purse and put Izzy her car seat and Jeff and I were off. On the way, I called delta and was like what the heck. I don't mind if I miss the flight (b/c by this time I was so exhausted) I just didn't want to buy a whole other ticket!! Delta was nice and said I wouldn't have to purchase a ticket, they would just put me on another 6:00 flight. But if I make the 5:15 flight, try and get on it. Well I couldn't believe it, but I made the 5:15 flight. So I ran to the gate and am headed down the jetway and they stopped me and said "Ma'm your luggage is with the other flight, so you can't get on this one" ughh!! So I go out again, grab my 2nd set of magazines, water, and chips for the day. I took Izzy to the bathroom AGAIN and changed her diaper.
And then I finally get on my 6:00 flight. We sit there, we sit there, we sit there, and at about 7:15 p.m. the pilot comes on and says "Ladies and gents, I'm sorry to inform you that we have a flat tire and we won't be able to leave until 11:00 p.m." Can you believe it? I totally thought Ashton Kutcher would pop out ans say that I've been punked.
I didn't want to wait until 11:00 with a 5 month old, so Jeff came and got me again and I rescheduled my flight for the next day. Wow...
When I went through security again they all knew me by my first name.

Ok this picture of the girls was supposed to go down to the NYC pics.. but of course I don't know how to move it! This was us at Rosa Mexicana... yummy! This was my last night in NYC ... so fun!

CONNECTICUT!! Wow, what an amazing little town they live in! It was so cool to see. They live in Norwalk. It's a quaint little town with darling streets, boutiques, big beautiful homes, a beach, and great restaurants. It just had the east coast feel and I loved it. Iz and I had so much fun with B&B. They were of course so freaking cute to her!
Brooke made us dinner the first night, so yummy. We made popcorn and treats and watched fun movies. The next day we went and met Brady for lunch at a yummy soup place. Then Brooke, Iz and I were off to see the cute boutiques and shops. We saw all the great towns including New Canaan which I loved. Thanks Brookie for taking me around!
Their apartment was darling. It finally felt like Christmas! Since florida is hot and sunny, it was fun to get in my fall clothes again and feel the crisp air. :)

I look prego in this pic below but I promise I'm not...
she sure loved B&B! they were so much help!! And they will be the cutest parents.. thanks so much guys! We sure miss you as always.
This is their cute street they live on!
On Saturday, we got up, went to see the beach, grabbed a yummy thai lunch and were off to NYC. They are so lucky, they live 45 minutes away from the big apple!

And now on to concrete jungle where dreams are made of! It was so fun to be with Mel, Trav, Marylynn and Scott again. If anything... just like missing Brooke and Brady, it makes me just miss everyone more. :) By this time in the trip Izzy was EXHAUSTED... so Mel and Trav were very patient for a crying baby to be in their apt (really I told Izzy to act like this so we could just prepare Mel for motherhood:)). She was overtired, constipated and then all of the sudden just pooped every 5 minutes... all of this in like 2 days. So she wasn't really being herself. I felt soo bad for her... poor girl. So Brooke, Brady and I got there Saturday at like 2:00 p.m. at first we kind of just hung out at their apartment and then headed down to Rockefeller and Times Square. So fun!

It was pretty freaking cold so this is what we had to bundle in!
While I was there I was able to do all of the fun things, see all of the christmas stuff, make the run down to Canal Street and buy my favorite things, eat yummy food and of course shop at my fav... H&M. And then of course the best part, to hang with my best friends again. They were also so cute with Iz! Poor little Zoe was sick so they weren't able to play but I'm so glad I got to see Marylynn. Thank you Mel and Trav for letting me stay with you ;) you were sooooo nice to give Iz and I your bed- we loved it! you will be the BEST parents in the world. I wish I took more pics.. but I guess it was just too freaking cold to pull the camera out!
Sunday was so nice. We went to church, came home and relaxed, Mel made dinner, Marylynn came over and hung out and we just talked all night.loved every minute of it.

Here we are at Rockefeller and Times Square. It was so good to be back there for Christmas. That night we went to a yummy sushi place for dinner before B & B headed out. It's never the same though without Jeff though! We missed him so much.
What was so crazy was having a baby in NYC this time! It was cold and crowded but that's why we love NYC :)
Wow what a fun trip! It was hard to leave:( Thank you B&B, M&T and M&S for an amazing time! I loved every minute of it. And there was nothing better than having Iz see all of her aunts and uncles again. Thank you for being so cute to her and for having us in your homes! miss you all so much already. please come to the warm climate and hang with us now :)
