Aprons for the Madres

I forgot to post this earlier but a couple months ago I thought that I would do a little something with my time. So I decided to break out the sewing machine. I wish I was as creative as others... I just do the basic things! I decided to make mothers day aprons for the 2 mommies. It was fun to take them home to Utah before Mother's Day to open!
Here you have it!

Trip to Utah

I had a great trip back to Utah. I thought I would make a visit before the baby girl came =). My family and friends were so good to me! I had a great time at all of the showers. I also had a great time relaxing with my family, hanging with my mom and going baby shopping, lunches, dinners, movies and catching up with everyone. Mom- thanks for an amazing trip! You spoiled me and I loved it. You took care of me everyday. I took advantage of being prego- you waited on me hand and foot! Thank you for that. I will always remember this trip!

I started out the week with Liz’s family shower. Liz, thank you so much! It was a “book shower”, something I recommend to everyone! It was so nice to get all of the baby books, especially the classics! The food was so yummy and it was so good to see everyone. Liz thank you thank you for all of your hard work! I loved every minute.

My next shower was with my adorable old neighborhood friends. It was so good to see everyone, it just made me miss them more! Mel- it was not the same without you =( Thank you Stac, Nik and Laura for all of your hard work!

This was my mom’s shower with family friends and relatives. So much fun! We definitely got spoiled. My mom had so much fun throwing a shower for her first grandbaby =)

And then my last shower was with my great friends from high school and college. Some I hadn’t seen for a while and it was soo good to catch up. Thank you all for everything! Of course being with my friends, we could just sit and talk for hours and hours. For example, we had a Girl’s Night Out one night and stayed up until 6:00 a.m. Wow haven’t done that in years! And it was a blast.

So good to see everyone! Thank you for all of the adorable gifts. It is so fun getting things for a baby GIRL. She will be dressed SOOOO cute because of all of you.

Brady's Graduation

After my trip to Utah, my family and I headed to Arizona for Brady’s Graduation from Thunderbird University! It was so fun and so great to be with the whole fam again (but of course we missed Jeff!). We had a fabulous time laying at their pool, going to great dinners, shopping and just hanging out.

Brady and Brookie- thanks for such a great time! Brady we are so excited for you!

this is their great beach at their pool... rough life :)

the 3 boys
My trip back to Utah and AZ was bittersweet because my little brother will be leaving on his mission right after our baby girl is born! So I tried not to think about it, but I kind of had to say goodbye to him :(. Elder Trey Johnson will be going to the Eugene, Oregon Mission on August 4th. So exciting!

the 4 kids
So good to be with family again! love you guys :)

Mel and Trav come to visit

We had a fabulous time with our great friends!

A few weeks ago, Mel and Trav came to visit!

We enjoyed sleeping in, eating on the beach, going to movies, watching the masters, and burning our skin at the beach (that’s for you Mel) and having great dinners. It was so good to see Mel and Trav again!

I wish I would have taken more pics of the trip but I did take some of a Sunday drive we had. We went to Key Biscayne to see all of the amazing houses. One of these houses was still being built and it was incredible! How do these people sleep at night? And what the heck do they do for a living? It was fun- here are some great pics. Thanks Mel and Trav for coming out! We had so much fun!

First Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day

Wow… I have the best husband in the world! I had such a great day. He was so good to me because it was my first Mother’s Day (with a baby in my belly). It kind of is a funny story but he first surprised me with a fabulous buffet at the Mandarin Oriental. Oh my gosh, probably the BEST buffet I have ever had in my life! I have never seen food this good or have I ever seen such a beautiful setting of food! There was sushi, crab, steak, salmon, pancakes with cream in the middle, eggs bacon… and so much more! Well Jeff called the week before and asked how much their buffet was, they said “$25 on the weekends”. He thought, not bad, not bad… and then made reservations for Mother’s Day. Well as we walk in to the buffet, I am thinking – holy cow! What are we doing here? This is incredible! And of course Jeff is always so cute and says “don’t worry about it” =). So we eat the fabulous food and loved every minute of it. Well little did we know that the Mother’s Day Buffet is actually $85.00 a person!! What?!! Who would spend that?! And who the heck has that money? We were dying! I guess we were actually laughing after getting the bill. I mean there is no way we would ever look at an $85 buffet and think “let’s do it!”, so the cool thing was, we were able to do it and not even know how much it was =). And we enjoyed every minute of it. At the end of the buffet Jeff surprised me with a Maternity massage and the baby stroller that I wanted. It was by far the best day ever. He is so good to me. I don’t know what I would do without him! I will always remember my first Mother’s Day because of you Jeff. And we will tell our children the funny story of the rich people’s buffet =).

Now a shout out to the wonderful Mother’s in our lives. What would we do without you?! We sure love you more than you could ever know. Thanks to you both, we know how we want to raise our little kiddies. And thanks to you, we know that unconditional love is the most important thing in life. Thank you for all you have taught us. Our children will be the luckiest grandchildren! You will spoil them and they will love every minute of it. Thank you for your amazing support and involvement in our lives. We love that YOU love to come visit us. And we love how excited you are for this little girl to come! If I can be half the mom that you both are, I will be happy!

Love you both!
