Looks like we are having a BABY GIRL!!!

Ya it looks like we are having a little Katie… we are in for a real treat – let’s just say I was not an easy baby or toddler! J

When we went into the doctor, she was like “yep that is all PRINCESS”

We were shocked but are so excited!!!

Key West

Over Valentines Weekend Jeff and I decided to take a drive down to Key West. Beautiful! Our good friends JR and Alisa were down there so it was fun to meet them, hang on the beach, go to dinner and bring them back to show them Miami. It’s a beautiful drive on the way down…incredible to see all of the islands! It was a little chilly but still so much fun. We had a great time on one of the beaches hanging out before dinner.

Vancouver Olympics for the Dad and Bros

I wish we could say we were there but my cousins and family had a great time in Vancouver seeing the Olympics! Lucky ducks J It looked beautiful and they had a blast skiing at Whistler! Love ya guys

Brady and Brooke trip to D.C.

These are old pics but I had to post them. Before we left DC- our last visitors were Brady and Brooke! We had so much fun. I guess we barely made it before the snow storm… we had great weather. We went and saw the White House, the capitol, dupont circle, Washington Monument, everything!

We also had fun going to dinner in Georgetown, enjoying late night movies and yummy desserts.

We found this great beach... a beach for dogs! We've been a few times now. We just take our lounge chairs and throw the ball with mr wills. I love it b/c it makes him so happy!

Super Bowl in Miami

Today was a great day. We woke up early, went on a run with our doggie, ate breakfast and headed to Miami Beach to see all of the fun for the Super Bowl! It was awesome! Beautiful day and it was like Vegas on New Years. It was so fun. We lounged at the beach and walked around the mayhem on Ocean Drive.

Goodbye to our Friends and on to a new adventure in Florida

A lot of changes have come down the line for us and another move is one of them! We were so excited to hear that Jeff was offered a job in Miami, Florida.

What??!! is right! We couldn't believe it we were so excited. It was a surprise and happened pretty fast. We only had 2 weeks to get everything together and move down there.

We were so sad to say goodbye to our home in VA and especially all of our good friends. It makes it so hard when you get situated in a place and then have to pick up and say adios. We had so much fun and will always cherish the memories!

Thank you Brooke and Mark for throwing us a great goodbye party! We had a great time!

And then the packing started...

we couldn't believe it... it actually only took us 5 hours to really pack everything- crazy. Jeff is a fast packer. I guess you get pretty used to it when it is your 10th move!!! (yes, Jeff and I have moved that many times and we've only been married for almost 6 years. Hopefully this is the last one for a while).

loading the 24 foot truck and car... what?! I was freaking out driving this around in VA traffic (well Jeff drove but I was still freaking out). We had a great drive! It was about 15 hours. Had some great talks and fun times staying in hotels :)

And then we arrived!! So these pics are just of our stuff packed in the Florida apt. More pictures to come later... but I guess here is a little preview.

We actually had a little detour with moving in. You might say to yourself "Of course this would happen to Katie and Jeff" because let me tell you- YES IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO KATIE AND JEFF.

So we are suppose to move in on Wed at 11. Well we get a call on Tuesday night saying that we can't move into our apt because there was a red flag on Jeff's background check. What?? I guess Jeff served 24 months in jail and he was a felon. Ya can you believe it, I was shocked too. Well we were laughing but also like oh crap how do we fix this? We got to Miami at 3 am, stayed in a hotel, woke up the next morning and had nowhere to move in (with a 24 foot truck might I add again). Well anyways... after many phone calls and showing our passports to the right people... we were ok. Supposedly, they don't run background checks off the social.. but only the first and last name and birthdate. So you'll better watch yourselves when applying for new jobs or getting an apt :).

So then we only had an hour to move in and we did it! It is great to be settled now and enjoying the sun. We keep pinching ourselves because it's beautiful here! More pics to come!
