Stokoes come to NYC

We had so much fun with our good friends the Stokoes! We were so happy they came out, it was such a fun trip. We had great weather oh my gosh... finally like 70 degrees here in NYC it was beautiful. While the boys had fun riding bikes, exploring the park and the city the girls had fun shopping =). We were so excited to have baby Sophie there as well!

Soho, breakfast and the Staten Island Ferry
One of our favorite mexican restaurants on Stone Street. Bruschke was here on business... so we were so happy that he came and joined us for dinner

Europe 2009

At the beginning of March, Jeff and Trav had the MIPM conference in Cannes, France. So Mel and I decided to make a trip out of it! We had a blast! After their conference was over, we met Marylynn and Scott in Nice and rented a van... ya you bet we did! All 6 of us. It was awesome. I can't seem to find the funny pics of the van... so I may be posting more Europe pics later on...Gosh I can't believe how many pictures we have... and you seriously have no idea how long this has taken me. But all well worth it for a journal entry right?! So, sorry if I have to post a few more pics of this trip!
We visited a bunch of cities in France and headed down to Spain. Oh my gosh loved every minute of it!

This was our first day in Golfe Juan. It was a small town outside of Nice and Cannes. We saved a bunch of money by staying in an apt from www.homeaway.com (I've posted about it before- well worth it!)
That night we walked all along the city and then took the train to Monte Carlo!

Monte Carlo was sooo cool! It was kind of like a "European Palm Springs resort" in my opinion. I loved it! It's known for it's casino (ring a bell?! vegas?!)

Here are some of Jeff and Trav's friends fromthe program. You can also see how many people there were in black suits on the beach. When Mel and I had to go look for them... it was like Where's Waldo.

We took a little hike up the mountain to look at the beautiful view

Eze, France

After we met Marylynn and Scott at the Nice, train station... we drove up to a city called Eze. This was a city on the top of a hill only 10 minutes from Antibes. Beautiful view, streets and atmosphere!

A few pics in different cities

Here are some pics from a few more cities we stopped at...

This was a cool restaurant we ate at in Antibes, France. It had rock walls- really cool atmosphere

This was the night we arrived in Antibes and it was a beautiful sunset!

St. Tropez, France

On our way down to Barcelona, we stopped at all of these beautiful beach towns in France. This one had beautiful yachts and sail boats!

Everyone loves the european cars!

All 6 of us! Me, Jeff, Scott, Marylynn, Mel, Trav

I love all of the doors, windows, and knobs in Europe

This is dedicated to my friend Keri- she loves candy and I know that she would be very jealous! They had this great market in the middle of the town... cheap food, clothes, and goodies!

Cassis, France

This was one of my most favorite stops! We absolutely loved this city! It was another beach town that had beautiful homes, streets and beaches. Since it was my fav, we took a lot of pics.. so enjoy!

We took this boat ride that takes you into all of the little canyons to show all the private beaches, beautiful blue water, and gorgeous white cliffs!

This was over looking one of the harbors with all of the beautiful sail boats.

Mar and Scott in their room

ok so I had to post this... this was our room! It was awesome, it was a little loft above where Marylynn and Scott slept. It basically had a ladder up to it! awesome...

The restaurants were so fun on the beach! Look how colorful!

look how cute they are...

I love the candid shots

The boats were so colorful!

Costa Del Mar

This was a city that we stopped at on our way to Barcelona... on Costa Del Mar. So I have actually forgotten the name of the city... so I'll probably edit this post later!

This was such a good restaurant on the beach we loved just sitting in the hot sun!

Carcassonne, France

This was cool! Carcassonne is a walled city in France. It is the one that was in the Film "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves". It was incredible! Its basically a castle with a little town inside the wall. It had beautiful little cobble stone streets with cool restaurants and vintage shops.

We stayed in a little "inn" in the wall. There were only 3 rooms- perfect for the 3 couples. In the morning, the owner of the hotel (it was her home) served us breakfast...yummy crossants and orange juice.

Jeff went out at like11:00 p.m. to take these pictures of the lights

All the pictures of Spain are on the next page... enjoy!
