Happy Turkey Day

We had a great Thanksgiving! It was fun this year to be able to cook! I definitely appreciate Thanksgiving dinner so much more. We started the Morning off great with the Macy's Day Parade. We were lucky to get a great seat on Marylynn's roof!

Isn't this cute? I loved seeing these little kids on top of the telephone booth =)
And then off to make the dinner! This is Thanksgiving New York style =). It's not as fancy as a lot of yours were I'm sure but it was definitely fancy for us. Mel had a great idea to use her desk for the big table, and then we used her coffee table for a chair and our side tables for other chairs. You get pretty creative in a small place! It was a lot of fun!

Here are the other side tables supporting our wonderful dinner.

We didn't have any pretty dishes but it was still yummy!

We had one our friends over for dinner, Ragnar - he is in the program with Jeff and Trav

A few Pre-Christmas Highlights in NYC with my Mom

Who doesn't love NYC around Christmas time?! Here are a few pics of what's been going on! My mom came to visit again and it was so fun. We did some fun shopping all around. It's always a daughter's dream to have fun shopping with her mom in NYC around the holidays.

Madison Ave- it was cold!!
Rockefeller Center

Saks Fifth Avenue

The entry to Saks

Macy's
The lights at Bloomingdales

Tony Bennett came and sang for the lighting of Bloomingdales Christmas lights. It was so cool to see- enjoy!

(you may have to pause the music below to hear this!)

Great Weekend

Oh wow what a game!!! Of course it's hard to get the channel here in NYC but we were glad that we were able to get a table at the ESPN ZONE in Time Square and watch it on our own T.V. with Marylynn and Scott and my mom (she was in town). So much fun!
I loved it so much- I saw it a second time! What did everyone think? I was very impressed with both of the characters. Edward definitely grew on me and now I am totally convinced that he is THE best Edward. He's perfect and she's perfect. As soon as the movie ends, you want it to go on right?! It will be fun when the next one comes out!

Utah Jazz vs. New York Knicks

We had the chance to go to a Knicks game and of course we had to go when they were playing the UTAH JAZZ! Unfortunately it wasn't the best game for the Jazz but it was cool to see them at Madison Square Garden!

A walk through Central Park in the November

The Election

Well I have seen this done on a couple of blogs and I thought it was a cool idea... Since we treat these blogs like our "journals" it would be smart of me to make an entry of what has happened in the world today. The 2008 Election was crazy... and I'll admit I'm not one to love politics. However, I guess we can all say that this time... it was History in the Making. Even though my personal opinion does not concur with the outcome, it is pretty neat to say that we lived during the time that the first African American was elected President. And I'll tell you what... living about 10 minutes away from HARLEM, U.S.A. it's pretty cool to see how this has touched so many people. Great Election! I'm curious, nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time to see what lies ahead of us!

Miami Beach, Florida

The boys had the ULI conference in Miami this past week and you think Mel and I would pass up joining them?! um no... So we had a nice relaxing week on the beach. Loved it!

Halloween Miami style
We went to this fun street fair that had the craziest costumes!
We got a great condo on homeaway.com for way cheap and right on the beach. It was so nice to just wake up get on our swimming suits and relax at the beach everyday! We ate at great restaurants, saw the fun parts of Miami, rented movies and just hung out.

Halloween New York Style

Well I know that I am waaay late in posting halloween pics... I wish I could say that we dressed up in fun costumes! But we were actually gone over halloween so here are some pictures of the week before Halloween. We had the chance to get out of the city and go see the leaves and up to a Pumpkin Patch. Afterwards we got some dinner and a movie and went and carved pumpkins at Scott and Marylynns. Very fun!

ok so I had to post that picture above in the top right of the square because it was pretty hilarious how fast the wind was blowing.... very ugly of us but a funny pic!
